Donk Toss is the glorious backyard sport that blends athleticism, chaotic physics, and high-stakes comedy. Two players or teams face off, tossing custom-weighted inflatable donkeys to score points by landing them in outrageous positions: on their feet, snout-down, upside down, or sitting on their rear tail.

The game was originally born in 2017 in Austin, Texas, dreamed up by the ragtag crew of musicians, sound engineers, and video creators at Purple Bee Studios. What began as an impromptu break-time toss behind the live music stage grew into an obsessive studio ritual, and by 2024 evolved into a full-fledged sport with codified rules, cancellation scoring, referee hand-signals, and competitive tournament brackets.

Beyond the precision throws and unpredictable bounces, it’s the pure pageantry of it all that turns every match into an electric spectacle — from the sacred pre-match “snout kiss” ritual and flamboyant referee calls to walk-up anthems and immaculate donk pandemonium.

With its signature blend of approachable casual fun and thrilling competitive depth, Donk Toss quickly escaped the studio backyard and began appearing at festivals, tailgate parties, taprooms, and national airwaves.

Add a refreshing atraction good for all ages.
